On Sunday, November 13 at 3:00 pm at Metcalfe Friendship Baptist Church, the Metcalfe Heritage Society presents Elmer Horne, Jr., of Tallahassee, acclaimed journalist, full of wit and charm, who will give a presentation entitled METCALFE REMEMBERED – Stories of this Wonderful Community 1920s – 1950s…with pictures and surprises!
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Directions to Friendship Baptist Church
Before or after – Visit the gardens of Felix Horne, who has graciously offered his hospitality at his Rose Garden (on Hancock Street). Come by to browse and walk among his beautiful roses! And don’t forget to stop by Decorative Fabrics in the Old Commercial Bank of Metcalfe building. Lois and Bruzz Mason will be selling homemade jellies and other local items.
