Georgia Trust Spring Ramble

For the first time in close to 15 years, Landmarks is proud to partner with the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation to bring the largest heritage tourism event of the year is coming to Thomasville this spring! Since 1973 the Georgia Trust, the statewide historic preservation advocacy nonprofit, and its members has visited communities around Georgia to recognize local historic sites and preservation efforts; over the years said communities have included places such as Savannah, Columbus, and, most recently, Covington.

The Ramble will bring close to 500 highly educated architectural enthusiasts to town. As part of the largest heritage tourism endeavor in the state, the Trust's members are eager to experience the architectural treasures for which Thomasville is famous. This will be a boost to our local economy, as over the three-day weekend the attendees will shop, dine, and support our local businesses.

We're teaming up with the Thomasville History Center to coordinate the many volunteers needed to help make this event a success.

Volunteers can request a location but final assignments will be at the discretion of the volunteer coordinators.

Various volunteer needs include Docents, Greeters, Sales, and Logistics.

For more information or if you are interested in volunteering over the weekend, please contact the office at (229) 226-6016 or email us at info@thomasvillelandmarks.org.
